Bio: | I've loved reading for as long as I can remember. I publish an anthropomorphic sci-fi/space opera literary fanzine, I attend and work on the staff for several anthropormorphics, anime, and science fiction conventions, and (even worse) I RECRUIT. I live in Seattle with my wonderful husband, still completely amazed that he puts up with me at all.![]() The purpose of my livejournal is to update people who know me (but don't get to see me every day) on what's going on in my life. Since web journalling is a form of publishing, I do not post my innermost thoughts--a web journal is not the same as a personal diary, and people who treat one as such should not be surprised when complete strangers and friends alike are sometimes angered, shocked, hurt, or dismayed by a raw statement of feelings. My livejournal is context dependent. If you don't actually know me, my friends, and my activities, you will probably find it confusing. Even if you do, you may find it boring, since my life isn't full of very much drama. Even if my life was full of such drama, I wouldn't be going on about it here. ![]() Note about IJ's "Friends" feature: My "friends" policy is very loose and contradictory. There are several people whose journals I read regularly, who I am more than slightly fond of, but who do not appear in my friends list. There are people on the friends list I hardly know. Originally I used the list simply to keep track of all the journals I wanted to read regularly. However, since I often read my friends list during lunch at work, I have decided that some journals are not appropriate to have on my screen if a co-worker stops by to ask a question. I'm not at all offended if I add you to my list and you don't reciprocate. Please don't feel you need to ask permission to add me to your list, and please don't be offended if I don't add you back. Especially please don't be offended if I don't notice you've added me right away. If you want me to know you're reading my journal, please post a comment and say "hi." I don't mean to ignore folks, and while I read the journal entries on my friends list just about every day, I don't check to see who has added me to theirs with any regularity. | ||||||||||
